Information about the former LWT GmbH and SAW-Airwalls
The former LWT GmbH from Mönchengladbach had been active in the field of industrial air curtains since 1996 and had completed well over 2,000 installations in Europe and the USA.
Almost all of these systems are still in operation today and are used in industry, logistics, production, and retail, among other areas. They are also used in sensitive areas such as clean rooms and battery factories.
Over the years, these systems have been referred to by the following names: Luftwandtechnologie, Luftwandtechnik, Luftwand, Luftwände, Green Air, LWT-Airwalls, air walls.
The operational activities of LWT GmbH have been discontinued.
As part of an asset deal, key technologies, development documents, and property rights from this field were acquired and further developed under the SAW-Airwalls brand.
Location and organization
SAW-Airwalls now operates from locations in Mönchengladbach and Hilden.
Planning, development, and project implementation are carried out independently under the SAW-Airwalls brand.
New business model
SAW Stäudtner Air Walls GmbH did not succeed LWT GmbH as its legal successor. It is an independent company.
SAW-Airwalls now works with standardized products and clearly defined project processes.
The systems continue to be used for a wide variety of purposes. We focus on the areas of application (solutions and industries) described there.
Technological continuity
SAW-Airwalls develops and installs industrial air walls to separate temperature zones, save energy, and reduce drafts, odors, and dust.
The systems are based on laminar flow technology and are optimized to close openings or passageways of any kind with air in the most energy-efficient way possible without creating barriers.
The solutions have been further standardized, automated, and technically optimized in recent years.
Today, standardized product lines (Compact, Grand, Move) are offered. We are constantly improving these.
CFD simulations, a large number of full-scale experiments, and breaking new ground have already increased the effectiveness and reliability of the systems by 40% and have resulted in innovative controls.
We have filed two patents for this.

FAQs
Operations have been discontinued.
No.
SAW-Airwalls is an independent company that has acquired essential technologies as part of an asset deal.
Yes.
You can contact SAW-Airwalls for maintenance and modernization.
Air walls are air barriers and is a literal translation of „Luftwände“, the German origin of the name.
Air walls blockade doors of all sizes up to 10 by 10 meters just using laminar air flow with high power efficiently.
